The Derbv Garden Society

157 Minerva Street

Derby, Connecticut

(203) 732-4861

The Derby Garden Society was formed by Derby residents wanting to make Derby even more beautiful than it already is. Although made up of Derby Residents, we accept help in any way, shape or form, from anyone who has an interest in gardening, from beginner to master.

The group currently meets at 45 Minerva St., in Derby at the corner of Third St. on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7pm. Stop by to check us out, ask questions or hear about past, current and future projects.

Funding sources have been the City of Derby, the Derby Veterans, private donations whether financial or plants/bulbs and also several major projects have been funded by the Community Foundation of New Haven. The Foundation has sponsored the Main St. Project of planters with flowers/trees, and "Derby in Bloom" -  a program to promote beautifying the city with the chance of receiving recognition.

Return to this site for further details or call the above number for any information concerning upcoming projects from The Derby Garden Society.
