Garofalo, Democrats Sweep Election

Incumbent Mayor Marc Garofalo has defeated former Mayor Alan Schlesinger by a 1,867 to 1,700 tally to win election to his second term. His win highlighted a virtual Decomratic sweep in the election as Democrats won all seats contested exception for positions on the tax board required by minority representation.
