Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race
November 25, 2004

Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti receives his t-shirt in preparation for running on Thanksgiving.

Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti is gearing up to run once again in training to participate in the Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race. The mayor finds the time to officially welcome the runners to Shelton seconds before the start of the race and then jumps right into the pack to run the course with other members of his family. Though better known for his basketball exploits in college and abroad, the mayor is a regular runner and will be running on Thanksgiving morning for the third straight year. He also has to be a quick change artist as he quickly makes the transition to the Derby/Shelton football game to participate in pre-game ceremonies there as well!
