Current Poll:Newest polls: The Attorney General Race?There have been questions raised as to the credentials of Susan Bysiewicz in her candidacy for Attorney General. The state has a requirement of 10 years of legal practice. According to a story in the Hartford Courant, "Bysiewicz said she has been a lawyer in good standing for 20 years and has the 10 years of Connecticut practice required under state law. She said she has six years of private practice in Connecticut, two years in New York and 16 years of public service as a state legislator and as secretary of the state, Connecticut's chief elections officer. As secretary of the state, she says, she has supervised a staff of lawyers for 11 years, something she says contributes to 10 years of active state practice."
