Students at Bradley School in Derby and Long Hill
School in Shelton gave the Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race
a real boost while learning a bit about one of the Valley's greatest war
heroes by combining art, history and community service. The students
combined their new knowledge of Commodore
Isaac Hull and his exploits as the commander of the USS Constitution
with their artistic talents to create a series of posters promoting this
year's race. Their handiwork will be on display in the Farmers Market on
Canal Street during pre-registration sessions as well as on race day.
In appreciation for their efforts, each class will be treated to a
pizza party. David M. Grant Caterers sponsors the party at Bradley
School while Tetley sponsors the Long Hill School.
